Hi Marie,

My experience has been that the civil death record if it exists, has more
info than the sacramental record, which states the deceased' name, address,
and where (any maybe when) they were buried. If you can find the probate
record, this would likely offer more info on the deceased and his family. I
don't think either of these resources is on microfilm at the FHC. But if you
go to www.familysearch.org, you can search on New Orleans and see for sure.
