Hi Barbara,

I check the map I have for St. Bartolomew Cemetery in Algiers. No Maikell.
Which doesn't mean he is not in this one either. I just have a map of the
first Surname on each tomb or head stone. I am going to finish St. Mary's
Cemetery in Algiers soon. After that I am moving to McDonogh Cemetery. I
will be on the look out for this name for you. I do not know about the
funeral homes. So one else might have better info on that one.

I told some of you earlier I was attempting to find where my ggrandfather
was
buried. -I have his death cert.now. He died at the U.S. Marine Hospital in
Memphis Tenn. ---it says he was buried at Algiers La. --on the cemetery
notation. I know there are a few cemetery's there...also undertaker notation
is National Funeral Home. I don't know if that was in Tenn. or Algiers. Is
there still a National Funeral Home? Or has anyone ever heard of it.
William Maikell
Birth was April 30, 1860
Death March 3, 44 (cert. issued on the 4th)

Thanks,
Barbara Maikell-Thomas
