Margaret Demarest Lantz?

Scranton Times, Monday, Mar. 27, 1916: extract

Dr. Lantz, dentist, former mayor of Stroudsburg, died 3/27 at the home
of his niece, Mrs. R. A. Kerlin, 762 Main St., Stroudsburg, 84 born 1832,
son of Peter and Margaret Demarest Lantz, Sussex Co., NJ. Opened office in
Stroudsburg in 1852, later organized Monroe Co. Banking Co. [In 1916 known
as First National Bank of Stroudsburg.] , largest stockholder Stroudsburg
Street Railway Company, half owner Van Fleet Fruit Jar Co., owned two
flagstone quarries at Henryville. "About 25 years ago these holdings began
to slip from him, and he was left with nothing except his profession." Born
and breed a Democrat, he split with the organization of the Republican party
in 1856. In 1869, elected Burgess, served as county chairman for many years.
Funeral Thursday, Stroudsburg Methodist church.
