Mary Ann (Lamar) Moreland was the daughter of John "Little River" Lamar III
who married his first cousin, Rebecca Lamar. Rebecca was the daughter of
Thomas Lamar, who is the brother of John II. Other offspring of John III and
Rebecca were Jefferson Jackson, Mirabeau Bonaparte, L.Q.C. Lamar, Thomas
Reynolds, Louise (m. Mr. McGhee), Aurelia (m. Mr. Randall), Loretto (m. Mr.
Chappell), and Evalina (m. Mr. Harvey). Thomas Reynolds is my three-great
grandfather. This Lamar family lived in Eatonton, GA - Putnam Co. John III
was born 1769, d. 1833 in Putnam Co.
