Thank You Hazel for the advice. All?I am trying to accomplish is figure out where she died where she is buried, and eventually possibly where her husband, my great grandfather is buried.? Unfortunately there is no one old enough in the Matthews family to ask questions. I am on my own at this. My mother thinks Lily lived in Baton Rouge, in an apartment, my cousin who is younger then me, thinks Lily died in a nursing home in Baton Rouge.? Cannot seem to verify anything.
I will look at the 1920 census for Baton Rouge and New Orleans, maybe my luck will change.

Dear Lee,
Apparently your email was mis-directed to me. I looked at Mapquest and found Montgomery Ave. in Metairie but the numbers were 600?to 899.? There are old?New Orleans city directorys at the Main library in N.O. and may be researched online. I am not sure what you are trying to do by finding her address when she is deceased.? I am a genealogist but will be very busy for the month of July. Let me know what you are trying to find other than an address.? Have you looked at the census records to find her district? Try 1920 census.

Since last e-mailing you about my great grandmother, I have come across some new information.
?
In 1939 Lily C Matthews lived at 3212 Montgomery this address was found on a post card sent to her by her son Robert, my grandfather. Unfortunately I do not know what city. He was in New Orleans as Magazine Street was also mentioned. I am familiar with this address as I lived on Magazine with them at my birth. Is there anyway you can find the Montgomery listing and her possible location in 1939? ?it would be a start for me. I also found a card from her so she was alive in when/after my birth, 1947.

montgomery is located in Metairie

my street map says D-8 (old tourist map)
East of Airport in Metairie
located between Metairie Ave and Airline Hway
between David Rd & Transcontinental Dr.
