Good afternoon to all,

I'm in need of a look up..."somewhere" in central LA.

THIS...is all the info that I have...and it's written by a great uncle...who
had
to pan (pad?) his wife's family history...with old LA history. *S*

George Washington HICKMAN
m. Rosa BAILLIS

1. "Members of two of the oldest families in Central Louisiana".
2. Plantation name, "Fairmount"
3. Near Plaquemine,
"down in the country of the big sugar plantation and sugar houses in
LA."

Their daughter, Ora Emily HICKMAN m. 27 Nov 1901, James Leon ROSSER.
Marriage took place at "Fairmount" after which...they moved to Amarillo TX.

I'm trying to figure out...where this "Fairmount" plantation was, etc., etc.

Thanking all in advance for any assistance,

Lisa Grimes
