Carron
Touchy Subject to some, but important to others. My gggrandfather was
Sylvain Carron (Caron)m. Celeste Jenkins from parts unknown. They had a son
Placide Carron (caron) in December 1864 placeunknown. They all lived in the
era ofslavery and I am searching for any information of Carron’s that had
slaves orservant in there care. Perhaps, they mayhave been free people of
color. Where didthese ex-slaves come from?
I have no information at all on Sylvain Carron, CelesteJenkins or Placide
Carron other than as followed.
Placide Carron - 1880 Census indicate that we was livingwith a Lemon's Family
in St. Landry Parrish. No mention of parents in neither the area, nor other
Carron's ofcolor. Later census shows him with wifeand family.
Sylvain Carron and Celeste Jenkins are list as the deceaseparents of Placide
in marriage records in Father Herbert’s Book.
Can someone please look up either of these people in any La Parrish census
for 1870 or 1860?
Looking for any help that I can get.
Thanks
Carolyn
