Would this William Bray be the son of Littleberry Bray?
Funny reading all these responses. In and around Somerset was a cauldron of
activity between several common families through most of the 1800's.
My g(+) grandfather Samuel Miller came from VA, sold land to the Glovers,
had a couple children raised by the Richardsons after his death, two sons
that married into the Smileys, a grandson who married a Bray, a along the
line some married Hargis', Earps, Phelps, Brinsons, Taylors, and Alexanders.
Last time I was in Somerset it was quite revealing while driving down the
backroads and reading the names on the mailboxes,.........................
it was like looking at pages from the census.
Course when every family has a dozen or so offspring it became academic that
they all became "cousins".
