I need help with my Great, Great Grandparents John Marcum & Mary Rector.
John was a S/O Thomas & Mary Wilson Marcum. He was B= 11 Mar 1820 Clay Co
Ky. He died the 4 Apr 1896 in Jackson Co Ky. He married Mary Rector after
the 3rd of Sept 1850, and before the 27th of Sept 1850. Possibly in Owsley
or Madison Co Ky.

Francis (Rector) 17, b= N.C.
Mary 1, b= Ky
Thomas Rector 23, b=N.C.
Mary Rector 19 , b= N.C.(John Marcum's wife)
Right down the road from the Dr is , Eli Rector .Who I believe is a brother
to the other Rector's I have mentioned so far.

I show the following info on James Foster, I have not proved or disproved
this yet!
Dr. James Daniel Foster was b= 22 May 1822 Jefferson Co , Miss. ( Remember
census gives him born in Ky.) He died 16 Mar 1914 Laurel Co Ky. Now he
married Francis Rector the 5 Oct 1848 Owsley Co Ky. She was born 1833 N.C. ,
she died 5 Mar 1859 Owsley Co Ky from TB. 1860 Owsley Co Census list James a
widower, @ 1861 he married Rachel Clark (D/O Wm & Tabitha Evans Clark) James
& Francis daughter Mary married? Moore.
Going back to Mary Rector on the 3 Sept 1850 she is living in her sister
Francis's home in Owsley Co, By the 27 Sept 1850 Mary is listed in Madison
Co Ky Census.
with her husband John Marcum.
John & Mary have 2 kids:
# 1. Lewis C. b= 5 Nov 1851 Madison Co Ky. Died 11 Nov 1926 Hamilton ,
Butler Co Ohio, married Leah Morris(D/O V.W. & Jane Sandlin Morris).
#2. Thomas Pleasant b= 3mar 1853 Madison Co Ky, d= 28 July 1924 Jackson Co
Ky, married Nancy Carr (D/O Wm & Eliza Mays Carr)(This my direct Line on my
fathers side)
Owsley Co Ky Vital Statistics lists the following :
Mary Marcum age 23, died 31 Dec 1853 , Owsley Co Ky, Cause of death
TB.Attending to her was Dr. James Foster. ( This death record has also been
claimed to be Mary Wilson Marcum's Death date, but its her daughter n laws)
Also Mary's Brother Joel Rector died on 19 Nov 1853, age 25 , from TB In
Owsley Co Ky, Dr. James Foster attending.

Mahalda Anglin Res. of Owsley Co Ky , age 19 , single, b= Clay Co Ky . (She
is D/O John & Clarissa Phillips Anglin.) Mahalda (Huldy") was b=25 Feb 1836
Owsley Co Ky d= after 1910 Jackson Co Ky.
They had the following Kids:

Co Ky. married Thomas C. Morris (S/O V.W. & Jane Sandlin Morris)

Ohio. married Katherine Harrison.
#3. Mary E. b= 1861 Jackson Co Ky d= Sweetwater, Texas. married John T.
Johnson.
#4. Margaret b= 1863 Jackson Co Ky, d= 31 jul 1874 jackson Co Ky
#5. John Franklin b= 10 Dec 1865 Jackson Co Ky , married Amanda Wells
#6 Nancy b= 1867 Jackson Co Ky , married Lewis T. Morris

Now that I have confused myself ,along with all of you who reads this. I 'm
interested in "ANY" name I have listed here. But the Rector name has been
almost impossible for me to trace. I would like to know more about Mary
