Hi everyone. Put my husband, Gilbert, and I on the top of the list for the
tour!!!!!! We will be there. We may bring our 12 year old grandson along -
he is deciding if he wants to or not - he knows too well where his bread is
buttered ha ha! Yes yes yes to the Dish Barn, even though I have never been
there I KNOW I will like it. I am recovering very well from my Jan. 6
shoulder replacement surgery - yeah yuck - and it is the trip to Jessamine
that is speeding me along. I might even be able to jump up in the back of
Bryce's truck by then, after all I am now a Bionic Woman with titanium
shoulder socket and humorous bone!!!! I really am sooo excited.
I am researching my DONNER family as well as SALTSMAN/ALSMAN, DAVIDSON and
HOLLOWAY. One thing I am very excited about is that my papers in the DAR on
GEORGE DONNER, SR. were accepted on Feb. 5, 2000. No one had ever gone into
the DAR on George before so I am thrilled he will now be recognized for
Patriotic Service in Rowan County, N. C. during the Revolutionary War.
