My great granddfather, Dr. Addison Pope Shackelford, lived in Hopkins Co.
being listed in Nebo Precinct No.4 in 1870 and in 1880 census Hopkins Co
KT HCGS, Vol2 Pg406. He ied in 1882 and we do not know where he is buried.
Served as an Ass't Surgeon in 25th KY Volunteers. My grandfather, James
A Shackelford was born in 1865 in Madisonville, Hopkins Co.
and he, his mother and a brother left Hopkins Co., and were in Wellington
KS by 1885.
