Subject: Coal mine in Bracken County?

Hello. My grgrandfather Edward Jordan died at the age of 35 of black lung
from working in a coal mine. He was born in Bracken County and died in
Pendleton County. Has there ever been a coal mine in either of these counties? If
not, where would the closest one be? Thanks in advance. Lisa M.
