My Moore family was from Green county, Wisconsin and the patriarch was Joshua Moore b. NC, whose son was John Camm Moore b. TN, who had a son John who was born in Green Co., Wisconsin. The family moved to Gueda Springs, KS in Sumner Co., (right next to Cowley Co.) in about 1883. Would this be your family? If so, I can help with everything except the murder, but had suspected such a thing.
