I found reference to the Abraham KOENIG(S) in the
book, "Eighteenth Century
Emigrants From the Northern Alsace to America,"
by Annette Burgert, 1992.
York County, Pa. Will Abstracts:
Abraham KING - 28 Feb 1766 OR 26 SEPT 1766
RRG pg. 393
Adams County Will Book B:
Abraham KING (son of immigrant) Germany Twp. 3
George KING, Germany Twp. 20 Feb. 1810
I haven't sent for copies of these wills to date
- had expected to pick up copies
in person this summer, but a broken foot is
keeping me in California.
York Co. Will of Abraham KONIG mentions sons:
Abraham, George, and daughters'
spouses: Stephen WIBLE, Johann Reinhard REBLOGLE,
and Thomas FISHER.
Also grandson: George MILLER.
By 1756 the KONIGS and Reinhard REBLOGLE/REPLOGLEs
were at Littletown -
5 or 6 miles southwest of Hanover, Pa. Lived there
Burgett gives the following information:
Abraham KONIG born and died in Bischweiler,
Alsace. Married Anna Barbara?
Abraham KONIG (s/o of the above) born @1700 in
Hofen or Bischweiler, Alsace
m 9 May 1724 to Anna Maria WEYMERT, died
1766 in Litttlestown, Pa. (near
Also: Abraham KONIG b @1700 in Hoffen, 67250
Soultz-Sous, Foret, Alsace
Note: The REPLOGLES were from Soultz-Sous, Foret,
Alsace, France - maybe
a mix up with wife's place of birth.
Parents of Anna Maria WEYMART (WEIMER) were Hans
Adam WEYMERT and Anna Catherine WEYMERT. Hans was
a former Gemeinsmann? at Hofen, Alsace. (Tailor?)
