Melissa,

My records indicate that John Knox and Jeane Gracy had 8 childrem; 7
sons and 1 daughter.

the children's names were:

William 1736-1776
Absalom 1738-1808
John Jr. 1739-1802
Mary 1742-1823
Samuel Sr. 1746/47-1837
Joseph 1747-1835
James 1752-1784
Benjamin 1759-1842

The first three children were born in Ireland, the others in the
American colonies (mostly North Carolina.

General Henry Knox and the George Knox you mentioned were not among the
children of John and Jeane(Gracy) Knox.

>Can anyone provide the names of the seven sons and one daughter of John Knox and Jean Gracy Knox?? Could one of them have been Henry Knox, the General and Secretary of War under Geo. Washington during the Revolutionary War? Could the George Knox (b.1800) mentioned above be a son of one of the seven sons???
>There are some records that indicate that the John Thomas Knox mentioned above was an assistant surgeon for the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Does anyone have any definite info on that? I have more Knox family info to share to those who might be interested.
