I have been doing Kitchen research for 25+ years. While researching my ggg grandfather, Joseph and family, I came across a reference to daughter, Sarah, possibly being born in Cheshire. While I had no knowledge of Joseph & Mary (b. 1775 and 1774 respectively) returning to England, I wondered later if their son, Joseph, born 28 May 1798, went to Cheshire, found a wife, and raised a family there. You see, Joseph the son is recorded in the 1830 Census (Independence Twp., Warren County, New Jersey), but I have no information on him beyond that time. Is it possible that Joseph Kitchen, the son, married a "Mary" in Cheshire?

I am also researching the Kitchen family from Stockport, Cheshire area. What are some of your Kitchen names? I have a Joseph Kitchen married to Mary Kitchen in 1837. They lived in Stockport and had 10 children. Their son Edwin married Mary Jane Clayton. They are my G.G.grandparents. Hope to hear back.
