Ok, I'll admit my ignorance. What is D&G FHS?

Dear Ian,

Alas I don't and my scanner is broken. The D&G FHS sells them very
cheaply. The line documented in the book goes back to 1754 and suggests
that there is a link to the Closeburn Kirkpatricks but without providing
the evidence. Thanks for the copies of the ebooks, much appreciated.

Hi Terry,
My Kirkpatrick's come from Closeburn in Dumfriesshire. I have been able
to
trace them back to ~1690. Do you have a scanned copy of "Record of a
Kirkpatrick Family" that I could look at?
Regards,
Ian

Dear Ian,

Does your Kirkpatrick line intersect with the Kirkpatricks of Dumfries?
My family are documented in a book published by the Dumfries & Galloway
Family History Society called "Record of a Kirkpatrick Family". I would
be very interested in a copy of your e-book if one is spare.

Hi Glenda,
I only have information on Kirkpatrick's in Scotland. I do have an
e-book of
the Kirkpatrick family history going back to 1130 if you would like me
to
send you a copy I would be more than happy to.
Regards,
Ian

I'm just beginning to research my husband's family who was Matthew "Mat"
M.
Manier. He married Lassie Kirkpatrick, probably the dgt of James &
Martha
(Carter) Kirkpatrick.

They lived mostly in the Jackson County, TN area.

Any information on this family would be appreciated. Glenda
