Looking for fate of Isaac Killough and wife Nancy Duff Cruce (b. 1790/1795) who married in Jefferson County, Alabama on 3 Feb 1820. Nancy was a daughter of James Duff and Agnes Carson. She was the widow of Stephen S. Cruce who died in Caldwell County, Kentucky in 1816. She had two children by him, Lemuel Washington Cruce born about 1812 (my ancestor) and Isabella Eliza Cruce born 1814, both born Kentucky. Lemuel died in 1847 in Marshall County, Mississippi. (His wife, Malinda Jones, was a Killough relative through her mother, Hannah Pomeroy Killough.)

What happened to Nancy and Isaac after their marriage? This Isaac is apparently not the same Isaac who died in Talladega County in 1834. There were lots of Isaac Killoughs around during that time. Can anyone help untangle this particular Killough/Kellough family from all the other Killoughs scattered throughout Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas during the first half of the 18th century? I am particularly interested in Nancy's fate, as she was my ancestor.
