my grandpa kern (george w. kern sr.) i know he was born in michigan. his parents i believe were born in michigan so maybe earlier was from germany. i am catholic but not because of the family. its unreal here they dont' seem to want to be with each other of so far what i have seen. thanks for your info. suzy
