Ethel M. Kern of Schaumburg Prayers for Ethel M. Kern (nee Geudtner), 96, will begin at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Ltd., 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg IL, to St. Hubert Catholic Church, Hoffman EstatesIL, for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, River GroveIL.

Ethel was the beloved wife of the late Benjamin Kern and Herman Rother; loving mother of Jeaninne (Ralph) Bigham of Scottsdale, Ariz., Joanne (Richard) Venere of Schaumburg IL and Judith (Ronald) Holznagel of Schaumburg IL; dear stepmother of John (Florence) Kern of Avon Lake, Ohio and the late Benjamin Kern; cherished grandmother of Jan Marie (Raymond) Madder, David (Sharyl) Bigham, Jyl (James) Webster, John (Leslie) Venere, Adolph Venere, Janelle (Paul) Mahoney, Thomas (Valerie) Venere, Julene (Sonny) Zander, James (Susan) Holznagel, Jeffrey Holznagel (fiancee Paula Hermann), Jon Holznagel (fiancee Lisa Wissink), Gail, Kristy, Mary and Carol Kern; and great-grandmother of 25.
