Martin Kern was born abt 1860 in either Clermont County or Hamilton, Ohio. His parents were William Kern b. abt 1825 in Germany and Christine Swartz b. abt 1835 in Germany. He had one sister who lived to adulthood, Emma b. abt 1868 probably in Hamilton County, Ohio. Martin was listed with his parents in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, on both the 1870 and 1880 census. His parents and sister were living in Tacoma, Washington by 1890 however, Martin was not with them. There is a Martin Kern on a 1890 directory of Cincinnati which could be him. On the 1910 census, his mother states she has two living children. Emma never married and lived in Tacoma until her death in 1944. Would like to know if Martin married and had descendents.
