While I have nothing on your Rev James Kerns, I have a Rev John Kerns born
circa 1809 in Kentucky who married Edna Smith in southern Indiana (have
info, just not in front of me).
He was with the Methodist Conference and I have a memoriam etc on my website
for him, including a picture at
