Does anyone happen to know if there is a particular area in Germany where the KERN name is common? My Johann Adam KERN b 11 Sept 1811 in ? and died 1865 in New Hamburg, Scott Co. MO. He married Gertrude ISEMAN/EISENMAN from Schirrhein, Alsace in Stark Co. OH. There were no KERNs in Schirrhein, so he must have met her in OH. Adam was Catholic, and that usually indicated Southern or Western Germany. Is the KERN name common in any particular area of Germany? Thanks for any help.
Judy
