Researching my great grandfather, Paul Anthony Kern.
Born Jan 1839, died Nov. 16, 1916. Emigrated from
Badenbaden, Germany ~1864. Homesteaded in Sumner Co.
Kansas in 1874, Naturalized in Wichita, KS Mar. 4,
1876. Is listed in the 1875 Kansas Census with wife
Sophia/Sopha/Sophie (information from other relatives
indicates her name was probably Josephine), and son JW
(Joseph). Came to Kansas from MO. JW was born in MO.
1870 MO census shows Paul Kern living in Atchison Co,
MO in 1870. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
