Well have been reading your notes and did you people go to 1930 census in michigan and look up kern it shows kern my family and it could be part of yours my grandmothers maiden name was gruebner (spelled on her birth certificate gruebiner) and the came through ellis island which maybe where yours came or we could be relatives my relatatives i have enable to find came from berlin germany suzy
