its not me i don't believe i was asking about edward w kern and richard kern they were born in michigan and near detroit. that is where my family is believed to be there was pearl kern and my mom carol elsie kern (caine) who passed away in 1991 in banning ca. i have been looking for family for a very long time and know that i have some relatives from kern but can't find them my grandmothers maiden name was emma o gruebiner kern. she was born near detroit michigan her parents parents were from berlin germany. well take care suzy
