I am still looking for family connections for Porter J. Kern my great-grandfather. In the 1870 census Ohio, (Putnam Co. Blanchard Twp.) he has a Eddie Kern age 10 years old living with him. From what I understand this is the son of a relative. Maybe some one out there can help make a connection. I have found one other Eddie Kern Son of Isaac Kern I think of Seneca Co. not sure if there would be a connection.
