Hello, Kern researchers!
I'm looking for information concerning Rebecca Kern, maiden name Shelhart, who was married to Benewell Kern. They resided in Berrien, MI through the late 1800s, Rebecca living till 1923. Much of the info on Rebecca I've seen has clearly come from Shelhart research that I (and others) did years ago. However, I am still trying to flesh out her mother's maiden name to help with additional Shelhart research. Rebecca's mother died shortly after giving birth to her and a twin brother. She was then placed with the Daywalt family in Seneca, OH, when her father and the rest of the family moved west to Indiana, then Iowa. Can anyone add more? Thank you!
