Are we cousins? Maud Redan Kern was my great-grandmother. Her son Henry and His wife Viola May Barnett and my grandparents. I have been hunting for information on Maud for many years. Last week I contacted a genealogist in England about searching for birth records for her as I have the same story on her as you do. She informed me that she found Maud on the International Genealogy Index (I have searched there many times and not found here) (I now have as well) and it is reported her mother's name was Ann. this researcher is going to look for the actual birth records and contact me again. I am willing to share any information I find. Would love to compare notes on the Newman family as I have information as well.
