I am looking for information on the Kerns side of my family.

I have two George Kerns in my family tree. The first was born around 1772 and Married Elizabeth Reid. His son was Ephriam Kerns married to Sarah Hoover. Ephriam's son was George Kerns, born around 1840 in Virginia. George of 1840 was supposed to have died during the Civil War leaving my 2nd great grandmother, Rosetta Kernsand her brother and sister orphans.

If anyone has any information on any of these people, please let me know.
