I saw your message, my GGG-Grandfather was Christian Kern from Germany. Not having much luck tracing him, but one of his children was Lewis Kern who married Melinda or Melissa Cook. Lewis had I believe only one son, Lawrence, who was my Great Grandfather. He married Maude Benefiel and I am unsure of their children outside of my Grandfather Lloyd Kern. Lewis, Lawrence and Lloyd are all of the Fayette County, IL area. Hope this helps some. If you have any help with Christian, please let me know. Thanks
