This isn't the answer you are seeking, but my 2nd great grandmother
Caroline Kern/s had a sister Margarite/Margaret born 1847 and I thought
of the possible coincidence of name patterns. They were the children of
the Rev. John Kern/s and Edna/Edney (Smith) Kern/s. Although the census
record states John & wife both born Kentucky (1809 & 1811 respectively)
their children were born in Indiana. I have nothing else on the Rev
John other than the marriage and children. Caroline married Elisha West
Sinex (sr).
