While I'm not familiar with Bedford, Larry Bird was from French Lick, Indiana. I remember back in the 70s when I was rearing 6 kids alone and didn't have time for tv that my kids had some saying about Larry Bird as "the country hick from French Lick". I have a
KERN/KERNS family that married in Jefferson County, IN ~ Rev John Kern/Kerns married Edna Smith and had 3 daughters & one son known to me anyhow. Their daughter Caroline married Elisha West Sinex (sr). These are direct ancestors for me and I have hunted and hunted and
hunted for them to no avail. According to one census reading the Rev John was born 1809 KY and Edna 1811 KY. I do have alot on Caroline & Elisha West Sinex but cannot find anything on the two sisters and the brother of Caroline. I read in some newspaper clipping that
another KERN/KERNS woman married another SINEX man but have not been able to find if from the same family of KERN/KERNS and am curious as to whether it might be one of Caroline's sisters. The other SINEX man was a sibling of Elisha West Sinex if I remember right. Any
help will be gratefully appreciated.
