I have been reseraching hopefully the same Kern family tree. Lottie Kern turns up in my search. This is the info I have. Lottie M. Kern Thayer DOB Dec. 4, 1867. Daughter of James Seymor Kern and Lydia A. Erway. I am a decendant of Wm. Barton Kern son of James S. Kern and grandson of Henry Kern. I have a estate document sent to Wm. Barton Kern in 1925 with Lottie's last name being Thayer. It shows her receiving a partial payment of $70.00 from the estate of her father James S. Kern. Names also shown are:
Lida S. Kern
C.E. Kern (Charles)
George Kern
Barton Kern (my grandfather)
Gertrude Kern Shalderbrandt
Alpha Kern Eyestone
