Hi. I have traced Dominic Kern's (sr.) parents. They are Franciscus (Francisci) Kern and Margaretha Mayer m. 31 May 1763. I found all the children of this marriage, of which Dominic is the youngest. Margaret Vaeth, who he married and alot of you have the book about their decendents... her parents are Bernardi Vaeth and Margaretha Hauk, m. 13 Apr 1779. I also have all the children of this marriage, of which our Margaret Vaeth is the oldest. It's interesting that one of Dominic's older brothers married one of Margaret Vaeth's younger sisters.

I have lots more information on a couple of these lines. I have traced back 3 more generations on Margaret Mayer and I know Bernardi Vaeth's parents. I have ALOT more research to do. I can't seem to find Francisci's parents though. His marriage record says he was married previously. There are so many Francisci and Franciscus Kerns that I am having a heck of a time weeding through it all. Has anyone out there traced this line of Kern families in Freudenberg, Baden, Germany?? There are so many and it seems they are related SOMEHOW but I just can't get back far enough to see how! Any help would be much appreciated. Email me at
