Hi!

I'm looking for information about the town of Freudenberg. I'm hoping
someone has a website that is in english. I've been pouring over the
church records for Freudenberg from the early 1600's onward. I"ve learned
alittle old german in the process, figured out how the names are recorded
and that each recorder did things alittle different, which can be a
blessing or hazardous to your health! :-)

I'm searching out the Kern families. Specifically Dominic Kern who married
Margaret Vaeth. My aunt has given me the book about their decendants and I
just about know it all by heart. So I've turned my sights to finding
Dominic and Margaret's parents. Which, I have successfully done, along
with their brothers and sisters. I'm now attempting to go back alittle
further but am beginning to get all the births alittle confused.

So, besides information about Freudenberg, which is beginning to feel like
home to me, I"d like to see if anyone on this list has researched this
family. Dominic's parents were Franciscus Kern and Margaretha Meyer and
Margaret Vaeth's parents were Bernardi Vaeth and Margareth Hauk.
