Thank you for the information on John A. Kern. The headstone in Welltown
does not mention his being a minister although his and his son's obituaries
do. There is also a Rev. John A. Kern buried in Mount Hebron in Winchester.

I am descended through John A. Kern and Mary Jane Hedges' son, Henry Furlong
Kern who married Jane Ann Boyd (daughter of Woodward Alexander Boyd and
Elizabeth Fisher). Please let me know if you are interested in this family.
I'd be happy to provide you with the information I have.

I'm also trying to find the parents of Mary Jane Hedges. John P. Hedges
was the suretor for the marriage bond.
