Harland G. KERN, 84, of 101 County Line Drive, Lehighton, died Wednesday,
Dec. 9, at home. He was the husband of Vera I. (SNYDER) KERN.

He was a custodian for the Mahoning Township Elementary School.

Born in Slatedale, he was a son of the late George and Lydia (SCHLEICHER)
KERN.

He was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Zions Lutheran Stone Church,
New Ringgold.

Survivors: Wife; sons, Daniel H. G. and David. J., both of Lehighton; daughters,
Naarah V.V. SNYDER of Lehighton and Linda V.M. ROOS of Andreas; brother,
Dewey P. in Texas; sisters, Helen I. MARHON and Lillian E. LIPKO, both
of Allentown, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, New Ringgold R.2.
Call 1-2 p.m. Friday.
