Bernise A. KERN, 85, of 2426 Main St., Schnecksville, died Monday in Lehigh
Valley Hospital Center. He was the husband of Helen E. (SCHULER) KERN.
They were married 65 years in December.

KERN was a maintenance supervisor for the former Trexler Orchards, Orefield,
retiring in 1971 after 46 years' service.

Born in Washington Township, he was a son of the late Agnew J. KERN and
Daisy M. (HOFFMAN) KERN ACKER.

He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

He was a founder of the Schnecksville Fire Company.

Survivors: Wife; son, Donald L., and a daughter, Naomi R., wife of Warren
E. FOLLWEILER, both of Schnecksville; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren
and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Richard A. Heintzelman Funeral Home, 54
Summit Road (Route 309), Schnecksville. Call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday in the church. No calling hours. Arrangements,
Snyder-Hinkle-Spatig, 527 Center St., Bethlehem.
