I, too, have a KERN from Germany:

Johannes Jacob KARN born December 16, 1708 in Wurttemburg, Empire of
Germany

BUT he's also been listed as having been born in Schwaigern, Baden,
Germany.

He was reported to have emigrated to the colonies in 1739, where he
settled in the area of German (now Long) Valley and Naughtright, Morris
Co., NJ.
