Subject: [KERN-L] Kerns in the Old World-Origins?
Date: Sun, 17 Dec 2000 16:29:43 -0600
Greetings, Kern listers.
During my research into my KERNs, I have yet to see any references as to
where they came from in Europe, beyond the horrendously vague terms
"Germany" and "Prussia." I'd like to solicit feedback from those list
members who have found ANY references to origins of their Kern families.
Maybe this will give me some clue as to places to look. Cities or
towns would be great, but Even a province would help. I'm also curious
as to distribution of this name in Prussia. Where was it most common?
The time span I'm most interested in would be ca 1800-1880.
Thanks for any help. Happy holidays!
