Surname: Kern
-------------------------

Valentine Kern is buried in Moorestown Cemetery. My cousin in Michigan
sent me a picture of his headstone. I also have a picture of Valentine
in front of an elevator that he invented for the World's Fair. He became
sick prior to the fair and could not attend and the person sent to represent
him ended up with the patent. I also have a picture of Ella's headstone.
It reads Ella Devinney - 1861 to 1956. She is also buried at Moorestown
Cemetery.

My father, Wilford Perry Kern (son of Perry Kern) still lives in Northern
Michigan and I want to travel there and he is going to take me to the Moorestown
Cemetery. It is quite a ways from his home but it is in the middle of nowhere.

A cousin has written a book on the Kern family but thus far I have not
located it. The data I am providing was prepared by Yvonne Young in Newaygo,
Michigan.
