Harry A. Kern

Harry A. Kern, 70 of 620 South Twelfth St. died at his home at 4 a.m. today
after a lingering illness.

He was born at Reedsville, W. Va., May 2, 1886, a son of Warder and Martha
Wheeler Kern. He was a member of the Grace Methodist church.

He had been in the grocery business 17 years, retiring in August, 1955,
due to ill health.

He was married June 1, 1918, to Willa Grisell, who survives, along with
a son, Harold G. Kern, Cleveland; a brother, Fred Kern, McMechen, W. Va.,
and three grandchildren. One brother and two sisters are deceased.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Glass funeral home with Rev.
G. Glenn Hughes officiating. The body will then be removed to the Grisell
Funeral Home, Moundsville, W. Va., where services will be held Friday at
7 p.m., with burial at Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
