I descend from this line: George KERNS (1775-ca1856) George Pence KERNS
(1806-1876) Franklin Pierce KERNS (1856-1931). I do not know when or
where they entered this country, but the migration pattern is
Germany>Virginia>Ohio>Illinois>Nebraska>Oklahoma. I have considerable data
on KERNS and collateral lines to share.

I. George KERNS was born 1775 in Rockingham Co.,Virginia and died abt
1856 in Williamsburg, Clermont Co., Ohio. He married Anna Barbara PENCE
13 Jun 1803 in Rockingham. He was the father of 16 children
including:Samuel, Margaret, George Pence, Maria Louisa, Lucion B., Lewis B.
, David P. , Thomas W. , Joseph , Sarah , and Elvira .

II. George Pence KERNS was born 15 Feb 1806 in Clermont Co, Ohio. He
married and had a daughter named Mary. Then he married (2) Penelope PORTER
in 1849 in Clermont Co, OH. They moved to Illinois and George died there in
1876. He is buried at Flora, Clay Co., Ill. Shortly after his death,
Penelope and some of her children moved to Holt Co. Nebraska where she died
and is buried. Their children were: Henry Dodge , Lewis Cass , Barbara
Ann , Franklin Pierce, Joseph Walter, David Porter, Ruth Ellen, and
Stephen Douglas.

III. Franklin Pierce KERNS was born 1856 and married Malinda Saffroni
BEDAINE in Illinois. They moved with his mother, Penelope Porter Kerns to
Nebraska after the death of his father. Their children born in Nebraska
were: Charles Sylvester, Bessie Deoia, Harvey Ernest, and Laura Alice.
They had their last child, Arthur Leroy in 1902 when they moved to Payne
Co., Oklahoma. Franklin died in 1931 and is buried at Pawnee Oklahoma.
