I am seeking information on the families of John F. KERNS and
George W. KERNS. They are listed in the 1880 Census as living in Holland
Township, Shelby Co., Illinois.

I believe that they may be brothers of Catherine Maria KERNS
HIDDEN DUNCAN shown living nearby with her husband John DUNCAN and children.

Catherine is my GG-Grandmother and was born in Ohio in 1844.
After moving to Illinois, she was first married to Benjamin HIDDEN.
They had a daughter named Anna B. HIDDEN and possibly other children. When
Benjamin died, she married John DUNCAN in 1871.
Together they had 6 more children.

I would like to find Catherine's parents and also to find out when she died
and where. She was still living when her husband John died in Shelby Co.,
Illinois in 1896.
