Hi:

Still searching for information as to where my Kern came from in Germany
and his parents:

Anthony KERN b. 8-12-1854, Germany to Jacob Kern and E. Hirst (both
of Germany)
came to USA approx. 1879 (as far as I can tell) d. 11-23-1890
McLean, McLean Co., Ill.
m. Henrietta Gibbs of Menard Co.

They had 3 children: Henrietta, Emma and William. Henrietta m.and
lived in Bloomington, Ill.; Emma m. and lived in Lincoln and then
Springfield, Ill.; William lived in Springfield also.
