Looking for parents of and any information on Simon Moses KERN b-April 20,
1820 in Boechinger, Germany--died Nov. 21, 1904 in Greenville, Butler Co., AL.
He was a peddler and lived in Alabama in 1850. Around 1851 he married Rachel
Elizabeth BATES (daughter of Baalam BATES & Mary SEALE) b-May 2, 1832 in
Greenville, Butler Co., AL--died Feb 6, 1926 in Butler Co., AL.
Simon and Rachel had the following children:

R.J. or Leon b-1852
Luduska Idola b-Jan 6, 1854 in Butler Co, AL d-1874 married Uriah H. Shine
William M. b-c1857
M. Callie b-c1860 married a Mr. Cowart
David b-c1862/63
Joseph b-c1865
Ida b-c1868 never married
Abraham b-c1870
Rosena b-1874 married a Mr. Haygood
