George and Mary E.(?) KERN and lived at the end of Kern Lane in Colerain
Township, Hamilton County, OHIO. They had the following children: David,
George Henry, Louisa, William, Flora. George Henry was a Green Township
Trustee and another family member owned the Kern Cooperage on Spring Grove
Avenue in Cincinnati.

George and Florence Matlack Kern had three children: Mary Kern m Hubert
Allen; Cliff Kern m Annie ?; and Warren M. Kern m Dorothy Foertsch.

The Matlacks I am looking for lived in Cheviot or in Green Township,
Hamilton County, Ohio 1870's forward. I would like to trace their parents.
They supposedly came from New Jersey.

Ph(o)ebe Matlack had one daughter Florence (b 1868 d 1933) outside of
wedlock. (Some of the older family members knew that the father was one of
several brothers, but not which one and the name wasn't revealed to me.)
Phoebe never married. Florence married George Henry Kern b 1864 d 1946.
Phoebe had a brother, Fenton, and a sister Lydie, neither of whom married
and lived ogether in Cheviot next to Harvest Home Park as late as 1960.
There may have been a sister named Mary.

Children of George and Florence built houses on the farm of Phoebe's parents
whose names are unknown at this writing, located on North Bend Road about
three miles from Cheviot, Ohio.
