1850 Marion Twp., Buchanan Co., MO census online transcription shows surname
"REINES" for this family. It is thought that James Nathan KERNS is descended
from Adam KERNS (KARNES) b1766/VA d 1844/Buchanan Co., MO m Mary McClanahan,
but there is no proof. This family is of German descent.
