Melanie,
I had a ggg grandmother by the name of Jane KERNS who was supposedly
born in KY in 1775. She married David DEMAREE, Sr. In Shelby Co., KY in
1792 and died in 1847 in Switzerland Co., IN. Do you know if she had any
connection with your Kerns' ? I have no information as to the names of
her parents or siblings.

David and Jane's granddaughter, Mary Allen Demaree, married Edward
Spielman KERN in Ripley Co., IN in 1833. Edward descended from Phillip
Jacob Kern who migrated from Germany and settled in York Co., PA. I
don't know if there was any connection between my KERNS and KERN
families. Any information would be appreciated.
